November Meeting of the Triangle Area Green Party
Report of Gerald Surh, via email [edited for terseness, aal]:
Big screwup today. Three people who wanted to attend were unable to. Amy Lewis forgot. Ellen Van den Bergh arrived a little late and found the doors locked, waited, then left. Attila Nemecz didn't know when the meeting was to be held. I apologize for not sending around a meeting reminder. [Editor's note: announcements are Amy's responsibility, not Jerry's; I'm sorry for the failure to send the announcement.]
In the meeting we decided that we had too few to have a normal meeting, so we had an informal discussion, made some preliminary plans and adjourned (see below).
Everyone: Wayne and Susan received from the NCGP and the national Greens the names of about a dozen Triangle people who want to be involved. We have divided them up and will be making contact by phone and when possible, in person. We want to invite them to a social and get-acquainted event on January 9th, 2005. We shall plan the nature of that meeting at a December 12 meeting which at least Susan, Wayne, and I can attend, but all else are welcome (we normally do not hold a December meeting because of the press of the holidays, but given these developments, it's mandatory this year). I assume that December 12 meeting will be held at SONG at 2:00 pm.
